Description:

Medium sized bird about 30cm. Feeds mainly on ground worms and insects by poking it's long beak into the ground. It's name is derived from it's call oop-oop-oop. Spreads it's head feathers in a spectacular display.

Habitat:

Spotted in a high altitude tea estate.
