jade flowers

Crassula ovata

Description:

Cluster, about four inches in diameter, of white flowers, less than one inch across, and buds, the latter with hints of pink.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood on insular tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted in my backyard. Over 30 years ago my wife bought a potted jade plant. Since then, dozens of other jade plants have been created from clippings of that plant, of from clippings of the clippings. Descendants of that original plant are in numerous pots in my front and back yards, as well as in the yards of neighbors. In all that time, from all those plants, this is the first time I've seen one of them flower so I decided to document the event.
