Morose Tambja nudibranch

Tambja morosa

Usually black with blue markings, but the dark green variation is not uncommon. Tambja morosa has "sensory pits" on the side of its head. Although the function of these pits have yet to be investigated, it is heavily innervated, leading most to believe that it has a chemosensory function.
