This beetle was quite common. It has eight yellow dots on the back, the first (basal) two pairs are sometimes continuous as in this example.
On flowering tea tree
This species differs from Castarina parallela by having a continuous lateral yellow line along the edge. http://www.bowerbird.org.au/observations...
