I've loved nature since I was a young child back in the 70's, be it birds, insects, mammals or plants...!
The Hague (The Netherlands)
Sign In to followIt looks like a type of Jay...?
I agree with DrNamgyal this is some type of Leaf-rolling Weevil they are also known as Giraffe weevils...!
Thank you DrNamgyal...! I shot the photo with a Samsung Phone...!
The photo is of an Eft (young newt) after a few years it turns olive green...!
I really would love to know it's name...! I did a little more research and found more images of this Leaf Insect but each image has a different name for it...! So I really don't think any of them are correct...!
You're welcome Annie...! Thank you ForestDragon for pointing out it was a Leaf Insect and not a Mantis (how stupid of me, I should have known)...!
WoW...! Beautiful but sadly I just can't seem to find out what type of Moth it is...! I think it's either a Hawk Moth or an Emperor Moth, so I looked though a few hundred photos (of both species) but just can't find this one...! I really want to know what it is...!
You're welcome...!
The one in your photo is a female the male doesn't have the blue...!
Maybe a type of Spotted June Beetle...!
