Sign In to followThat's a cute frog belly! Rana temporaria is found in Europe and not in North America. Additionally, Rana temporaria is a ground frog and can't climb windows. This looks like you have a native Treefrog, either a Cope's Gray Treefrog or a Gray Treefrog. Visually they look the same so they can't be separated with a photo.
Brian, I didn't even notice it looked like a delicious breakfast item! :-)
Nice find! Welcome to Project Noah!
Beautiful find! Please consider adding this spotting to the Marvelous Mantids of the World mission: https://www.projectnoah.org/missions/157...
Thank you Brian! That looks like a good match.
Thanks for the ID help, Ornithoptera80!
It looks like you have a good suggestion for the identification of this beautiful spider. Would you please update your spotting with the common and scientific names? Thanks!
I agree with mauna's suggestion. Here is a link to compare: https://bugguide.net/node/view/2018
It's hard to find a good reference online. I believe you have found a nice native species of slug!
If you compare your slug to the images here, you should be able to see the differences: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limax_maxi...
Hi Deny! I am absolutely in awe of all the wonderful Spottings you have been sharing here on Project Noah! Thank you so much!
I did want to let you know that I have been removing a large number of your Spottings from the "Signs of Wildlife" mission.
That mission is meant for things like animal tracks, nests, feathers, bones, etc. It's for things that are not the living organism, but a "sign" of them (see the description of the mission). Please make sure to read the descriptions of the missions before adding Spottings to them! :-)
