Read about their defense mechanisms, glad I didn't try to pick it up.

These are pretty big too. At least 3 or 4 inches long.

I've been researching, can't find anything matching my picture so far. I think that Geometridae Oospila sp. is very likely though. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys! There is a scientist that has worked extensively in that area that I might send the pic too if I can find his contact information to see if he can identify it.
