They look like some sort of Hoverfly

Probably the fattest pigeon I've ever seen!
He's looking after that beak for a friend. A much bigger friend.
I don't want to declare them as barbel, only saying they're similar :)
They do have a lot of carp-like qualities as well, but generally carp have a longer dorsal fin, usually around 1/3 to 1/2 the length of their back
the smaller, darker fish are more similar to carp than the larger fish
The look similar to Barbel with their down-turned mouth and thick lips.
Barbel are similar to carp.
