The kids ranged from about 15 to 20.
It was just hanging out by the cafeteria. Non-venomous and not dangerous at all, but I relocated it to protect it. Rat snakes do well in dilapidated buildings (because rats hang out there), which my current school has in abundance. I had a little impromptu nature lesson with my kiddos about this little guy (or gal)
