A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Sorry it's taken so long to respond, KEKoepp. Thank you for so much for commenting. It's marine. After seeing more of them this summer, as they get older they seem to take on a rusty color - if they are in fact the adults of the one pictured above.
Oh, and thank you, Ashish. :)
Hi Ashish,
I have another photo that I haven't uploaded as of 19:49 EDT showing the tail and hindlimbs. I'll upload it now. I should've uploaded it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Yes, they're all of the same bird.
Invertebrates are a larger category emcompassing smaller categories which include arthropods, mollusks, echinoderms (sea-star types), cnidarians, etc.. These are animals without a vertebra or a spine. It's confusing because there isn't a category to select on NOAH to put into these smaller categories.
A magpie?
They remind me of the oyster mushrooms that grew in the woods behind my childhood home. Genus Pleurotus?
I've seen your photos, Elsa. They put all of mine to shame! :)
Hi Elsa,
Yeah, I'd say it's a tufted titmouse as well.
Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like a kind of gammarid amphipod, MrTozer.
