Hi it looks to me like a salamander, as you can see by its tail it can swim now, a meet doesn't have a tail like that,and it usually takes a few years for them to change, hope this was helpful :)

that's very interesting i will take it off the flies mission, But if they are not an insect what is it? Thanks for the info to its pretty interesting all the wildlife you can find in "your back yard" :) For me its like discovering new species because i've never seen most of them before lol, even though someone else has :)
