:) unfornately, some people at the pond did. They actually grabbed the ducklings & petted them. I warned them that the ducklings may carry salmonella & tat the mother may attack them, but they just gave me mean looks & did it anyway.
this is a Hermit Thrush. a House Wren would not have the speckled breast. Also note the lack of streaking on the back. The Hermit Thrush also has a rufous tail. It kinda acts acts like a wren by hiding in dense underbrush, darting around, & bobbing its tail. The Hermit Thrush also has that white eye ring. It looks like the beak got pushed in when it hit the window which is probably what's causing the bleeding.
