Not a skink but a lungless salamander.
That bird is in the fledgling stage where it stays on the ground learning to fly. Many pepole think birds in this stage should be in its nest and has fallen but it does infact need to be on the ground exercising its wings.
Hyacinths are plants in the family hyacinthoide. The name blue bells refer to just a few specific species of this family.

I know the desciption in the wikipedia link is not exactly the same but I think your frog is a juvinile and the Cuban tree frog can very in color.
Your welcome. I think it's a gray tree frog but I'm not sure. I'll do some research on tree frogs in your area.
Though it's skin looks like a toad if you look at the toes you will see that it is realy a tree frog.
I'ts a cool story but what dose it have to do with the tree?
