A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
That's it, and it's been added to the mission as well. This is my first contribution to a mission so thank you for letting me know about it!
Yeah, never seen anything like it before, thanks for the ID!
I seriously thought this was a chipmunk. Learn something everyday. Thanks Stian!
That's it! Thanks Aaron G!
Thanks for the ID!
Thanks for the ID! She found me actually and stayed around for a couple days even...
Thanks so much for looking into this one! I had no idea about the difficulty and detail Skippers presented for a definite ID and I am sure enjoying learning more about them! Thought I was doing good distinguishing a Lerema accius from the female Zabulon Skipper (Paones zabulon) with their white border on the hindwing. I may have more pictures of this one if there is anything in particular that would be helpful to clarify.
That's what I thought at first too, but I was seeing more variety with spots and color than expected for Lerema accius when looking them up. Also, the location spotted seems just outside/north of their usual southern US range. I'll keep it up in the Help ID section for now. Thanks!
Looks to be it. Thanks AndrésHernández!
