Kim, it's at the ocean, I actually was in Viña del Mar, not in Santiago. And I have another spot for the pelican too, look at my pics ;)

No Jason, it's the opposite actually. This species of Toucan (Toco) is very adaptative to fragmented areas. It eats fruits and other birds' eggs, like sparrows, thrushes and tanagers. I've usually seen these birds fighting toucans around here.
