Urocoma limbalis (♂)

Urocoma limbalis

Description:

A chocolate moth which has been dipped in icing sugar.

Habitat:

Resting on a brick wall under strong night lights at the local school.

Notes:

Thanks Nuwan for direction. Also called 'Browntail moth' Noctuoidea + Lymantriidae + Urocoma + Both scientific and common names seem to be a mess. Euproctis and Urocoma seem synonymous. 'Browntail moth' applies to http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euproctis_l... http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:b... http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:b...
