Description:

A very furry and well padded moth about 30mm across. Melded soft pinks and browns with light patterns of dots and a few curved lines. Four spots near the inner costa are distinctive. So fluffy it looks fat when resting on the ground.

Habitat:

Attracted to strong night lighting at the local school.

Notes:

This one is male and can vary considerably. The females are much larger - maybe 50mm across. One or two generations per year depending on latitude. Found from southern Queensland to Tasmania.
