Description:

Caps 1-3 cm wide; convex with margins slightly curved under; semicircular; dry; finely velvety to woolly; tan to pale yellowish brown; somewhat cracked-scaly with age. Gills close; pale yellowish brown; occasionally forked. Stipe not visible.

Habitat:

Growing in shelf clusters on fallen deciduous tree (unidentified species) trunk.

Notes:

Panellus stipticus mushrooms luminesce in the dark. Found on same log as Lenzites betulina: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/184...
