Kasungu National Park, with 2,316 km2 the second-largest national park in Malawi, is home to more than 300 species of birds. These include the lesser jacana, bateleurs, purple-crested turaco's, etc. However, the list of species is not very recent. Amongst other things, it claims that KNP is home to 5 species of vulture, which, sadly, by now have all been poached to extinction in the park. We invite our visitors to the park to place pictures of the birds they find, so we can update the list. From our side, we will be doing the same.
