Dark-capped Bulbul

Pycnonotus barbatus tricolor

Description:

The Dark-capped Bulbul is greyish-brown on the upperparts and whitish-brown on the underparts, with a dark head and pointy crest on top of the head. The tricolor species has a very distinctive yellow vent.

Habitat:

A very common bird in much of Africa. It is found in woodland, coastal bush, forest edges, riverine bush, montane scrub and in mixed farming habitats.
