Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Passer montanus

Description:

The most common bird in our town. I find it extraordinary because it outnumbers any other bird species here by about 10 to 1. They are very playful and know how to keep their distance from humans while scavenging opportunistically.

Habitat:

Spaces in the roof of houses, hence they are commonly known as house-birds.
