Cedar Waxwing

Bombycilla cedrorum

Description:

Sorry to keep bombarding you with Cedar Waxwings, I simply have never seen them stay around so long at a time. 6-8 weeks. golden chests, peaked top, black through the eyes and a ruffled pale tail. Travel in flocks and eat a lot of berries.

Habitat:

They prefer large trees so they can all land together. I assume they split up when nesting begins.

They are still prevalent over here on the east coast as well. Wonder what's up.
