St Andrew's Cross Spider

Argiope Keyserlingi

Notes:

Seen/photographed in our yard in northern Sydney by my husband, Nathan. These spiders are really common there... and where we live now in Queensland (they are currently taking over our patio)! An interesting difference I've noticed is that in Sydney I nearly always saw the distinctive 'zig-zag' pattern woven into the web, whereas here on the Sunshine Coast I hardly ever see that.
