Description:

Small white mushroom with scaly cap, white gills and plain white stipe. 50mm.

Habitat:

Tall moist forest part eucalyptus part pine.

Notes:

Sometimes one finds amazing things in the forest.

I did place them a little closer together for this picture but only the pine is really out of place (introduced). The grey leaves are 'gum tree' (Eucalyptus regnans), the exuva is from a huge local 'Green grocer' cicada (Cyclochila australasiae) and the claw is from a 'yabby' (Cherax destructor). They were all found within that square metre of ground though... but it sure does make a weird looking mix doesn't it.
