Description:

This is the beautiful and sweetly scented fragipani, a pantropical plant (--this will be a small tree) that is native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. Plumeria (common name frangipani, kamboja) is a genus of flowering plants of the family that includes Dogbane: the Apocynaceae. It contains 7-8 species of mainly deciduous shrubs and small trees.

Habitat:

Planted in a garden in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.

Notes:

Planted from a cutting, first blooming. In Indonesia this tree is often planted in cemeteries as well as gardens.
