Acacia Leafbeetle (Calomela -3)

Calomela bartoni

Description:

This small leaf beetle had pitted deep blue green elytra with pale brown margins. The green pattern showed a slight indentation along the lateral aspects. the pronotum was a clear pale green but the head showed a small black patch along the posterior margin. The ventral surface of the beetle was pale and legs were black at the joints between the femur and tibia.

Habitat:

Spotted on black wattle.

Notes:

This species is very close to C.curtisi except that it has a generally paler under surface.
