Cane like or bamboo like plant growing in early spring in a shaded area of forest.
I have suggested two IDs:
The Smooth Horsetail, which by my speculation, seems to be the species you have here.
The Horsetail, which is a general species ID for what you have here. It is definitely a horsetail (Equisetum sp.), so this may be your safer and less specific bet.
