Rhinotia sp.
A 20 mm dark belid weevil with white inner margins that looks like a suture down the body. But unlike the sutural belid weevel, this does not have a tapering rear end, like a tail.
Spotted on acacia in a park
Unlike the sutural belid weevel, this does not have a tapering rear end, like a tail. however, some photos of the sutural belid weevil do not show any "tail"

Needs further investigation for a species ID.

Nice spotting, Leuba! I haven't seen such a long, narrow weevil.
Thanks for the suggestion Britsnana. I think you are right about it not being R.suturalis because of the lack of a "tail". But I have my doubts about R.hemistictus - mine has no white setae around the eyes and the streak of white along the elytral margins is denser in mine. I have added a photo. I will leave it as Rhinotia species for now. Thanks again.
