Orange/red elytra with 5 small black spots on each.
Meloidae is the Family name.
http://naturdata.com/Hycleus-duodecimpun... gives the Common Name in Portuguese as Escaravelho, which translates into English as Scarab.

Thanks for the ID David. I did some research on the Scientific name and found a Portuguese site (see description) which gives the Common Name as Escaravelho, which tranlates into English as Scarab, more of a generic name than a Common name, but better than nothing.
Is it a true Scarab beetle?
