Longicorn Beetle

Distichocera fuliginosa

Description:

This handsome brown longicorn was about 20 mm long, broader at the elytral base and narrower towards the rear end. Each elytron had a medial ridge and long white streaks nearer the inner margin.The pronotum showed a white patch on each side and a ridge in the midline.

Habitat:

Spotted on tea-tree in a park ( Cardinia Reservoir)

Notes:

I assume the species is correct. Not many photos from Australia but the link below has several specimens with similar markings and features.
