Chioninia spinalis

Chioninia spinalis boavistensis

Description:

This is the only species of skink on the island( for most of the researchers) and a species endemic to the arcipelago. It is not very common, I've seen it only once in a week, and more shy than the ones I've seen in Europe.

Habitat:

rocky wall in a hotel garden
