Concealer moth

Palimmeces poecilella

Description:

A small moth about 12mm long with dark brown and blotchy yellow patterns. The labial palpi curve out and back. Moderately long antennae swept backwards along the line of the wing.

Habitat:

These moths are found in Victoria. This moth was spotted in the garden. It was so small and minutes after pic #4 was taken, the moth slipped away into the crack between the wall and the concrete paving.

Notes:

This moth belongs to the Family Oecophoridae.
