Eastern Narrow-mouthed Toad

Gastrophryne carolinensis

Description:

Small toad with reddish-brown back and white/black mottled belly. Short and squat. Pointy snout.

Habitat:

Found in tunnel chamber in a damp rotting log, in wood pile in my yard. There is a creek not far away, though it would be a pretty long trip for such a small toad.
