Flower wasp

Tachynomyia sp.

Description:

2 thick black antannae , long narrow body, small abdomen area into a point at the base.

Habitat:

close to a water supply9river) , landing on reeds near the water and also weed type plants.

Notes:

I have searched ...best i was finding - Suborder Apocrita -Terebrant (Parasitica)‎ > ‎Ichneumonidae (Ichneumon Wasps)‎ > ‎ Genus Hyposoter But not entirely sure ..but i think its a wasp?

Thanks Mark :) i checked out flower wasps for Tas...not great photo's to go by , but found a few similiar on Flickr

Just a guess Charlie but I would look at Tiphiidae (males)
