Pandion haliaetus
The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), is often times called a firsh hawk, or fish eagle. It is a rather large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings.
The Osprey will live near any body of water, where there are an abundance of fish, which is its food source.

Thank you for taking the time to help me Ava T-B you are a sweetheart, and I am honored that you would help a newbie such as myself. I have joined the mission you suggested, and am more then willing to help out other missions.
If anyone would like my photos to be used for their mission, please leave me a message, and your reasons for wishing me to do so. I certainly wish to help in anyway I can and will consider all requests.
williefromwi -- at the top of the page there's a brown area that says Home Organisms Map Missions Education
Click on Missions, then 2/3 of the way down the page it says Featured Global Local
Click on Global
Then scroll down 3 rows to Nests, Hives, Bowers, Webs, etc and click on that. Now you are on the page where it says Join This Mission. Join, and then on your osprey page, click on Edit This Spotting and then you can go down on the right and add the mission. There are lots of missions you can join that help others to organize the data we are creating by adding to Project Noah. Enjoy!
I would be thrilled and honored to do so, Ava T-B. I am such a newbie, just over 24 hours on this sight. Any help you can give me and any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I will do as you wish, and add it to that mission.
