Ichneumonidae Wasp

cf. Dusona negata

Description:

bright yellow/orange legs - black antannae - black body - clear wings approx 4cm in length

Habitat:

Found in a highly dense eucalypt regrowth forest , with myrtle and sassafras...wasp was resting in the shade of 2 leaves , but come out eventually.

Notes:

Ichneumidae Wasp - Subfamily Campopleginae - cf. Dusona negata

Oh yes , see i knew that ..i remember reading you posted that on another wasp on the tasFB page ...still it all just looks nasty :)

I know it looks bad but it's not a stinger it's for laying eggs :-) Still... if it keeps people away.

Should never trust copy/paste hey :$ fixed....it was quiet beastly ....and i kept thinking ....man that would pack a sting...probs why they are not the sharpest photos.
