Long-Billed Woodcreeper

Description:

Largest of the Amazonian woodcreepers. White throat, white lined/spotted black nape of neck, silky brown back/wings, long strong yellow beak, long toes adapted to climbing the trunks of trees searching for insects. Note the elongated flat look to the top of the head.

Habitat:

Found in the neo-tropical forests of the Amazon basin. This one was in the flooded rainforest of Tamshiyacu Reserve.
