Black ratsnake

Pantherophis (Elaphe) obsoletus

Description:

I think this individual is an intergrade between the black and yellow ratsnake subspecies (P. o. obsoletus x P. o. quadrivittata). It was found in an old barn just after consuming a couple European Starling nestlings.
