Good call Emilie! I'd never heard of that, and I was super curious. I think when I first started looking, everything looked like carrot to me.
Good advice Hayley. To my eye there's something not quite right for D carota though. Definitely a very close relative though if not.
It looks like it's in the carrot family perhaps? Hard to tell. There are a few plants that look really similar to that, and the ones I can think of are carrot, cow parsnip, Queen Anne's lace, hemlock and fool's parsley. Never eat any plant unless you're certain of the ID.
Reminds me of fennel (saunf, mouri) flowers that had sprung up in my grandmother's rooftop garden...then we ate all the soft, green, plump seeds...this is not fennel but the inflorescence is similar. Good luck with the ID.
