Shield bug

Description:

Body length 10mm. Pinkish colour with yellow-grey scutellum. Yellow dot prominent at lower corner of scutellum. Red and black striped antenna. Likely a nymph shield (stink) bug.

Habitat:

Vegetable garden. Resting on a flowering shrub.

Looks like this shield bug belongs to Genus: Dolycoris. This spotting probably is the species found in Africa - Dolycoris numidicus, not sure though.
