Lilypad Forktail

Ischnura kellicotti

Habitat:

Freshwater bodies with lily pads; seemingly tied to a single group of plants – water lilies.

Notes:

Working on ID for this Damselfly. In the meantime, any help/suggestions welcomed. UPDATED: I saw a few of these males flitting about the Spatterdock leaves. Even saw a couple wrestle for a spot. There were a few other species of Damsels in the area also. The attached reference deals with several species but the most info about them as I could find.

Yes it would be nice to see the pterostigma too.
We've got an amazing season for odonata here too. There are clouds of them with mixed up species resulting from an extraordinarily wet year.

Thank you for the help, Mark, but it lacks the blue rings on the abs segments. I believe I found the ID though.
