Ring-necked parakeet

Psittacula kramen

Description:

Males are more colorful displaying the red ring around the neck. Has a high-pitched squawk.

Notes:

This bird is very curious and friendly. I often find it inside this tree hole. When I whistle it peeks out of the hole and eventually comes out to get a closer look.

So lovely!
If the parrot has bred two generations in the wild without people's help, it's offspring could be considered as a wild bird.
By the way, I suggest it with a more common name as Rose-ringed Parakeet.

Most certainly a bird who escaped from an aviary. For sure it is not native from the Netherlands.
