I spoted this bird sometime ago, at Curitiba's landfill, a huge area reserved for storage and management of city's garbage. Although it was built following the technical directions, it still is, after all, a hazardous area for humans and animals. That can be seen in the photo: this vulture presents a abnormal growth of its beak, probably due to genetic alterations caused by contaminated environment.

How tragic. It saddens me deeply so see how the activities of humans have such a negative impact on wildlife. Of course we are all breathing this same air so I am sure they is also going to be many problems for the people living close by.
