Archilochus colubris
More silver and gray than ruby red,,, the likelihood that it is anything other than a Ruby-throated Hummingbird is fairly remote. I'm very excited because I've put out eight feeders like the one in picture, and many trumpeted flowers to attract hummers. This is the first one this year. More (clearer) pictures will likely be posted soon.

That's what I'm hoping for...
I can definitely see the green sheen on this. Definitely appears to be a female ruby throat :) My males normally arrive first - love watching them do their figure eight flights- all awhile chirping like crazy. I think it is their way of establishing territory. It gets real interesting when the first females start to appear. You will love watching them. Once they know you have feeders they will return each year looking for them :)
@MaryEvans2, thanks. As you can see, I was able to improve my focus, and I posted a couple of better images. I'm hoping to see a male, and more...before the summer is done.
Female ruby reds do not have the dark red patch under their throat and have a green shiny look to the top of their back feathers. Funny how you are using the same inexpensive feeders that I am. Seems like I attract more to these one hole feeders than I do my large ones. Though they do have to be filled much more often :) Nice spotting.
