Grey Coral Fungus

Clavulina cinerea

Description:

A smokey-grey coral fungus about 80 mm tall. The branches were thick and irregular ending in blunt tips.
The spore print was white (pic 4) which is a characterisitc of this genus.

Habitat:

Observed growing on ground amongst grass and moss in an open eucalytpus forest.

Notes:

This coral fungus with purple tones is fairly common.
