Texas Spiny Lizard

Sceloporus olivaceus

Description:

This little brown guy avoided my camera a couple of weeks ago. It is missing the tip of its tail. It has moved out to the leaf litter of the lower pond and is much browner in color.

Habitat:

The garden is about half an acre of native plants specifically planted for wildlife. The main water source is a pond that is filtered by two gravel streams. It is on a peninsula by Lake Lewisville, TX.
