Description:

The male is blackish with white shoulder patch and rusty red colour near the vent. The tail is cocked up in a jaunty manner.

Habitat:

Saw this one on a patch of wasteland just outside the ancient Sun temple at Modhera.

Notes:

The distinctive white shoulder patch is not always easily visible ...its visible extent can vary with posture.
