A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Pennisetum Glaucum
This plat came from seeds given to me. Tall deep purple thick spikes rise from a thick base of strap like leaves.
The garden is about half an acre of native plants specifically planted for wildlife. The main water source is a pond that is filtered by two gravel streams. It is on a peninsula by Lake Lewisville Lake TX.
Returning from wildflower walk for lunch and noticed that this plant was blooming.
