Helianthus annuus
The Common Sunflower is a flowering plant that have brilliant yellow petals and a red-brown central disk. It has a rough hairy stem with high and broad, toothed, rough leaves arranged in spirals. Sunflower usually grows 1-4.5 meters tall which makes them noticeable especially that they truly look like a golden sun due to its giant round shape and bright color.
This picture of sunflower was taken in an dry wide-open environment located directly under the rays of the sun. But they bloom more during summertime.
The leaves of Common Sunflowers are great remedies for fever because the leaves are expectorant which means they it helps relive congestion if a person has a cold or flu.
