Leaf beetle

Paropsisterna brunnea

Description:

A large leaf beetle usually with light black stripes but looking very clean with the unmarled elytra. The head is black.

Habitat:

On eucalyptus in a nature reserve at Heart Morass (Swamp)

Notes:

I was looking for this particular beetle, known at this location. However the only one I found is without stripes. In every other way, the beetle looks as I expected so I presume the name is correct. I hereby offer a caution.

Thanks Sergio.
It is supposed to look like this but I think they are the same. http://media.padil.gov.au/species/135766...
It is one I was seeking for some time.
It requires a lead and a long drive to find this one.
